“A Gift of Lights” or its new name “Glittering Lights” is a major Las Vegas tradition with millions of lights aglow just for the holidays. More than 3 million lights along a 2.5 mile course at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, make it Neveda’s largest holiday drive-thru light show. It is on from mid November to start of January.
Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Garden in Las Vegas welcomes the holiday season with thousands of twinkling lights, more than 28,000 poinsettias and a 42-foot majestic holiday tree decorated with 7,000 warm white LED lights and over 2,500 ornaments.
The Cactus garden at Ethel M Chocolates Factory is worth visiting during Christmas as the three acres land full of cacti is decorated with half a million lights.
Opportunity Village is one the most recognized charitable organizations in the Vegas Valley and its Magical Forest is a holiday tradition. It offers a spectacular array of holiday lights, Forest Express passenger trains, antique carousel, Alpine slide, and a visit to Santa.
City of Sparks hosts the Sparks Hometowne Christmas Parade on the first Saturday in the month of December. Apart from a colorful holiday parade, there are lots of other entertainment activities like photos with Santa, arts & crafts vendors and a spectacular tree lighting ceremony in early December.
Virginia City’s Christmas on the Comstock Parade of Lights takes place on first Saturday in the month of December. It offers a Victorian-style holiday celebration.
Barton Health Festival of Trees and Lights takes place in first week of December at the Montbleu Resort Convention Center. Here you can view a dozen decorated Christmas trees and wreaths and décor, enjoy local entertainment, visit Santa Claus, a kids’ craft area, and the Teddy Bear Hospital, and have the opportunity to bid on unique holiday items and décor in the silent auction.
