In the capital city of Jackson, the historic section of the Governor’s Mansion will be open in the month of December and will feature traditional holiday decorations using seasonal greenery.
The annual Jackson’s Holiday Parade is held on first or second Saturday in the month of December passing through downtown and ends at the state fairgrounds. It is followed by lighting of the Christmas tree at Jackson City Hall.
You can join in for the annual Old Jackson Christmas by Candlelight Tour wherein you can enjoy traditional seasonal decorations and music at the Eudora Welty House, Governor’s Mansion, Old Capitol Museum, and State Capitol.
Gulfport’s Holiday Light in Jones Park is the biggest holiday light show in South Mississippi.
Christmas in Biloxi is kiked off with the annual Christmas lighting of the Biloxi Lighthouse.
The annual Biloxi Christmas on the Water Boat Parade will will be a treat to watch as more than 80 illuminated boats will parade off the Biloxi peninsula and travel from the Biloxi Lighthouse to Point Cadet. It will be followed by fireworks display in the skies.
On first Saturday of December, downtown Moss Point will be transformed into a winter wonderland with a blend of land and boat parades, live music, fireworks and lots of entertainment.
More than 25 lighted boats participate in the Moss Point’s Christmas by the River Boar Parade.
Christmas in Canton – “City of Lights” comes alive each holiday season as the historic Courthouse Square is decked with an array of more than 200,000 beautiful and enchanting lights. The month-long Victorian Christmas Festival also includes 135 life-size animated figures, miniature train ride, music and entertainment.
The annual Starkville Christmas Parade takes place on November 30 in downtown Starkville.
The City of Brandon Christmas Parade takes place on first Friday of December at 7 p.m in downtown Brandon.
The Clinton Chamber of Commerce annual Christmas Parade takes place on first Saturday of December in downtown Clinton.
The City of Madison Christmas Parade takes place on first Saturday of December. The parade begins at Ridgecrest Baptist Church on Old Canton Road, and concludes at the Historic Red Caboose on Main Street.
The Ridgeland Christmas Parade takes place on first Saturday of December.
